Urban Nature Store Celebrates National Wildlife Day with Support for Ontario Wildlife Rescue Centres
On National Wildlife Day, September 4, Urban Nature Store will donate 10% of all bird seed sales to support wildlife rescue centres across Ontario.Ontario, Canada — September 4, 2026 — This National Wildlife Day, Urban Nature Store is once again putting its commitment to nature and wildlife into action through its Seeds of Kindness campaign, donating 10% of bird seed sales on September 4 to support wildlife rescue centres throughout Ontario.
Since 2023, Urban Nature Store has proudly supported Ontario wildlife rescue organizations through Seeds of Kindness, helping raise awareness and provide much-needed financial support to the organizations and volunteers caring for injured, orphaned and orphaned wildlife.
Wildlife rescue centres play a vital role in protecting Ontario's wildlife. Every year, dedicated rescue workers and thousands of volunteers give their time, resources and expertise to care for animals in need, rehabilitate them and, whenever possible, return them to the wild.
Many of these wildlife rescue centres operate with limited resources and receive little or no government funding, making public donations and community support essential to keeping their doors open. Behind every rescued animal is a network of volunteers working tirelessly — often around the clock — to provide food, medical care, transportation, rehabilitation and safe shelter.
Supporting the People Behind Wildlife Rescue
“Urban Nature Store is proud to support National Wildlife Day through our Seeds of Kindness program and help wildlife rescue centres throughout Ontario. The work being done by wildlife rescue organizations is meaningful and lifesaving to wildlife in need of help and recovery. Seeds of Kindness is our way of saying thank you to the thousands of volunteers who work tirelessly every day to help injured and orphaned wildlife. These volunteers are the backbone of wildlife rehabilitation in Ontario. We want to help raise awareness of the vital work they do and encourage the public to support their local wildlife rescue centres.”
